In the oldest district of Taipei, there is this quite big Longshan temple. I've been there to get to know more the taiwanese religious ritual... and the beautiful atmosphere of the place...
As it was during the Chinese New Year holidays, I could see all those yellow lanterns on the temple walls and the 2 big ones representing birth signs that every taiwanese has to touch to receive good luck ... kind of ?
Hope you'll enjoy the fiew pics, and please tell me if you have any question about the rituals or the place itself !

Hey thx mol !!
SupprimerExplain ? well uh... as far as I know this was just about the chinese new year... during 10 days, people bring gifts like food and flower to the temple, to help the monks maintaining the buddha statues and the all place... they come with their gift and put them on those large tables, they will pray to the god with some encent that they put in this big golden vase and do some gambling with little piece of wood to know their future for the new year and hope for love and happiness.
Usual stuff but they do it seriously and I didn't get the impression that it was an obligation but more like a superstition and a need for them.
